it's time to start thinking about this!

I have tips: Don't plant freesias in the ground in the South. Stake out the tulip beds so the termite guy doesn't keep shoving the termite traps down into them that you keep pulling out of them. Don't think that just because there are no groundhogs in your your yard your crocuses are safe.

ok, that was not helpful. I will file it away, though, for when I have a huge estate with acres and acres of rolling lawn like you do instead of just two 50 L. pots.

p.s. read that with a happy, funny tone, not a snotty, mean one :)

so read, my friend, so read :) Thank goodness it's NOT acres and acres - just 1/2 of one - because holy cow - be careful what you wish for cuz you just might get it. .....and the simple point is that sometimes a patio garden can be much more successful and manageable than a big yard. I probably planted 5 x's as many bulbs as you will, but I'll end up with the exact same amount as you and they will look sad and puny relative to the scale of things. Keeps me humble - I guess that Hampton Cove Garden of the Month sign will have to wait..... ha ha!
