whim scarf

double your yarn (use a ball that's too short to use for anything else)
use fat needles (you did double your yarn, after all)
moss stitch (that way the edges don't curl)
a rectangle (or whatever, I guess)

sew on a button
and just force that button through any two stitches that you want (who needs button holes?)

So funny you made this...I just made something like it for Adelaide in Navy Blue with a big brown wooden button...I didn't know what else to do with it. I had no idea that it was the latest fashion for girls her age. ( I know that it's the latest fashion now because Naomi made it and Selma is wearing it:) )

Caroline: post a picture!
(p.s. don't tell anyone, but I think we're always a few fashion seasons behind :) )

I love it! Maybe if I finish my mom's sweater early, I can do that for my girls for christmas!

by the way, I looooove the sweater! Amaleah is wearing hers these days...and she insists it only goes with jeans...I swear!

Gab, it knit up so, super fast! (and is a perfect mindless task - - being that it has no shaping at all . . .)

and also, not to stick it to you, but - - I DO think that this sweater is at its awesome-est with jeans!
:)

I tried one of these, and I forgot the key element of moss stitching...next time.
